The Age of the Agile Workplace
Collaborating closely with UGL to re-imagine their post-Covid workplace environment, BOYNTON ROSSI was engaged to rationalise, rework and reinvigorate this tired 2000m2 office and bring the workplace up to speed with the era of the Agile Workplace.
Initially a Schematic Design exercise and proposed significant transformation, the scope was reworked to meet changing budget restrictions yet still meet business function requirements including additional collaboration, quiet and meeting zones across both floors, rationalisation of the many and varied workstation styles, installation of hot-desks and locker systems for a hybrid workplace/work-from-home employment model, the inclusion of a multifunction mothers & prayer room as well as designing a dedicated secure department wing.
Consideration of the lease length as well as sustainability and budget meant decisions took into account flexibility such as ensuring new items could be relocated to future workplace environments and significant investments had longevity.
These changes to the layout, in association with the clever use of colour for way finding and differentiation have dramatically transformed this workplace and set UGL on a path that is more closely aligned with both their core values and workplace practices. The agile workplace they now have has guaranteed the workplace continues to be viable into the future.
