Branding + Interiors
The brief was to develop the brand personality and story for Can Tho Kitchen Bar which communicated the restaurant’s heritage and embraced the Vietnamese community atmosphere of share plates and communal seating in a modern setting.
The design was centred on the concept of AUTHENTICITY; embracing the story of the new and old owners, the design focussed on their personal journey from Vietnam to Australia in the 1980’s and translated these stories into the details of the branding and interiors.
Since Can Tho Kitchen Bar re-opened bookings and revenue have caused a need for increased staffing levels to meet demand. The outcome of the transformation is beyond expectations; an emotive response to a real, meaningful, authentic family story that is now clearly communicated to patrons through the interiors and branding.
